In 2026, Alavieska Motor Weekend celebrates its fifth anniversary. Motor Weekend Ry will be organizing the event for the third consecutive time. The first two editions were organized by the Alavieska Vetovoima project, and the association wanted to continue this popular and uniquely developed event, preserving its original spirit while enhancing its content year by year.

The heart of the event is vehicles of all kinds, from mopeds to trucks. The program features hobby vehicles, show cars, and a variety of annual exhibitions. In addition, the event offers a relaxed environment for socializing. A diverse range of cars and other motor vehicles will be on display, giving visitors the chance to explore the vehicles, exchange experiences, and spend time with like-minded enthusiasts.

Alavieska Motor Weekend emphasizes good event culture, safety, and community. The event is organized in collaboration with local partners and has established itself as an annual gathering for motor hobbyists in the region.

The day’s highlight is the Finnish Lawn Mower Championship qualifier, bringing speed and a unique competitive atmosphere to the event. Around this central excitement, a wide range of exhibitions come together: trucks, cars, classics, off-road vehicles, and American muscle cars fill Alavieska, making the event a true meeting place for motor enthusiasts.

For the first time in Alavieska, sauna gatherings will also be held, adding a relaxed and communal touch to the event. Children can enjoy bouncy castles and a pedal car track, making the event an excellent outing for the whole family.

Enthusiasts are at the heart of the event. The popular and well-established Vehicle Hobby Parkallows visitors to arrive with their own vehicles and explore the event grounds at their own pace. This year, the program expands further with a dedicated Motorcycle Hobby Park in town. The timing coincides with many riders’ first outings of the season, so motorcycle enthusiasts are more than welcome. There is also a Youth Hobby Park reserved specifically for young enthusiasts.
